 Happy Thursday! Today in class we read the poem Mother to Son by Langston Hughes. I learned that not everything in life can be easy but you have to keep going. This meant a lot to me because even when things get hard you never know there could be a new corner with something better waiting around it. I did really good at golf yesterday and it was really fun.

 Happy Tuesday! Today in class we started with a bell ringer and talked about what America has and why it is significant. We also anotated the poem I, Too By Langston Hughes. The poem was very good and really interesting. Today has been so long it feels like a Monday because of the long weekend. I can’t wait for golf practice today after school!

  Happy Tuesday! Today in class we talked about or ancestry and where we are from. We annotated this poem in class. I learned more about different peoples ancestors and why people want to know about it. I can’t wait for golf practice today after school!

 Happy Monday! Today in class we did an online assessment. We read chapter 8 of great gatsby today. I learned from the reading and the assignment that the American dream is to be rich and in love. I can’t wait to get out of school today!

 Happy Tuesday! Today in class we read part of chapter 7. My group read the text together and then answered the questions over what we just read. I can’t wait to cheer at the game tonight!

 Happy Thursday! Today in class we got more questions to answer on the great gatsby. The questions were on chapter 6. I spent most of the class working on the questions. This morning I went to oak grove elementary school with my cheer team to help with a fundraiser before school.

 Happy Tuesday! Today in class we presented our projects. I didn’t get to present with my group because I came to class late. It was very interesting to hear how the other groups interpreted their characters. I slept really late and came to school a lot later than usual today.

 Happy Monday! Today in class we finished our group project on a character from the great gatsby. My group had Myrtle and it was very fun interpreting the character. I’m so excited to go home and spend time with my family today.
